  • Product Details: 1st World War Bronze Memorial Plaque. Also know as a 'Dead Man's Penny". This was designed by Edward Carter Preston and shows Britannia holding a tridant standing with a lion. The designer's initals are by the front paw of the lion: E.C.R.P. Also, in the lower left hand corner has the the issue number 27.

     

    The regtanfular tablet has the deceased name written, James Bridgeman who was in the Riffle Brigade and died during WW1 in 1916.

     

    This comes with its original wax packet/envelope which is extremely rare.
